Corning, NY (October 6, 2018) – A New York State Senate Candidate, identified as Amanda Kirchgessner, was involved in a serious crash that happened on Wednesday evening, October 3. Police responded to the accident in Tompkins County.
At the time, Kirchgessner was driving to a meet and greet when an oncoming vehicle drove directly in her path. The driver claimed that they did not see her vehicle. The accident took place at the intersection of Hallseyville and Perry City.
Stephanie received injuries and was quickly taken to the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre to be treated. Kirchgessner spoke with police and said that the road is notorious for accidents. She said that people have lost their lives at that same intersection.
