Deposit, NY (October 4, 2018) – The 66-year-old man who was tragically killed in a workplace accident has been identified as William H. Sethmann, of Deposit. The accident is being reported to have occurred sometime between Monday, October 1, and Wednesday, October 3, as Sethmann was not found until Wednesday.
Sethmann suffered fatal injuries while working on a hydraulic loading dock at Coulier Printing Corporation, located on Laurel Bank Avenue. The victim was a handyman and an independent contractor. Sethmann often worked out of his own separate office in the facility.
According to authorities, Sethmann’s body was discovered crushed underneath the loading dock. A preliminary investigation conducted by the New York State Police determined that the docks’ lift had failed, resulting in the death of the victim.
More details may still be emerging but no more information has been made available at this time.
