Niskayuna, NY (October 2, 2018) – Fire officials reported a head-on crash that resulted in the injuries of one person this morning, October 2. The accident took place around a curve on Rosendale Road at Partridge Run at approximately 7:45 a.m.
Police were unable to be reached for comment at this time, and it currently remains unknown as to whether or not the curve in the road played a role in the crash. Niskayuna Fire District 1 arrived on the scene along with Fire District to in order to assist any injured parties.
The chief of Niskayuna Fire District 1 stated that the driver of one of the vehicles involved sustained facial injuries during the wreck. Officials evaluated the driver of the other vehicle at the scene and that individual was reported to have been unharmed. The injured party was immediately transported to Ellis Hospital to be treated for their wounds.
Prior to the responder’s arrival, both drivers involved had exited their vehicles on their own, according to the Niskayuna fire chief. No further details have been released regarding the cause of the collision. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
