Concord, NY – Collision Claims Life of Wyoming County Man

Concord, NY (October 1, 2018) – According to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, one man was killed and two others were injured following a collision on Saturday afternoon, September 28. The fatal collision was reported to have taken place at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Creek Road.
Deputies who promptly responded to the scene of the crash reported that one of the vehicles involved had overturned onto its roof following the accident. The other vehicle was found stopped in the middle of the road. 66-year-old Ralph Spaulding, of Java Center, was the driver of the vehicle that overturned. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in that vehicle was an 11-year-old boy who suffered head injuries and was immediately transported to Oishei Children’s Hospital by Mercy Flight.
The driver of the other vehicle involved was identified as 25-year-old Allyson Rollek, of Springville. Rollek was initially taken to Bertrand Chaffee Hospital but later transported via Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center to be treated for injuries that were classified as non-life-threatening.
No further information has been released at this time. Authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the events that led to this accident.
