Forty-one-year-old Schenectady, New York resident, Adimu Goodwin, received charges relating to a hit-and-run crash that resulted in the death of one individual and injured another on State Street on Friday, August 14.

The Schenectady Police Department reported that the police filed manslaughter charges, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle against Goodwin.

According to preliminary investigations, Goodwin crashed into 29-year-old Jerry Faine and 61-year-old Donald Shaffer as they were walking across State Street that Friday night. Faine died in the hit-and-run accident, while Shaffer recieved medical attention for his wounds and is now said to be under stable condition at an Albany hospital.
